We have been helping clients secure government subsidy housing for years and are here to help you, too. There is no better time to reach for your dreams than the start of a new year, with new possibilities.
Is FLISP For Me?
So, is FLISP (Finance Linked Individual Subsidy Programme) a good option for you? FLISP was introduced in 2006 and has been updated several times since then to provide homeowners with better support. This subsidy empowers those within South Africa’s GAP market to own their first homes. Households that earn too little to purchase a home traditionally, and too much to qualify for RDP housing, make up the GAP market.
If you meet the qualifying criteria for FLISP, we can assist you. Grab your government housing subsidy this year and do not miss out on the opportunity to own your first home and improve the quality of your life and the lives of your loved ones.

Do I Qualify for FLISP?
If you meet all the following criteria, we can assist you in applying for FLISP:
- Earn a monthly household income that falls between R3,500 and R22,000
- Be a South African citizen or a permanent resident
- Be 18 years or older and legally able to enter into contracts
- Currently be married, cohabiting, or single with financial dependents
- Never have owned residential property before (exceptions are serviced stands with a Title Deed already in your name).
- Have never received any housing subsidy that gave you ownership, leasehold, or a deed of grant.
What I Need to Apply
The FLISP application must be properly submitted, with up-to-date and valid information that includes:
- Details and OTP or sales agreement of the property you aim to purchase
- Identity Document for each prospective buyer
- Three months’ recent payslips for all prospective buyers
- Birth certificates for all minor dependants that live in your household
- Marriage certificate, divorce certificate, and settlement agreement, if applicable
How Does FLISP Help?
You can use FLISP to buy a house with cash, a loan, or pension funds. This allows households to pursue homeownership with grant funds in various ways. The FLISP grant provides shortfall solutions, bridging the gap to homeownership and empowering South Africans to own safe and secure homes for generations to come. Financial shortcomings do not mean you can’t achieve your goals and become a property owner.
